Sallie’s parents brought Sallie, Hulda and their other brothers and sisters from Missouri by covered wagon in 1886.

Sarah is a sister of Hulda (Smith) Dickinson-Marshall


Sallie and Bud were married on November 3, 1889, at Beaver Creek near Camp Verde, Arizona.


"Bud Thompson purchased the Godfrey Van Dern homestead at Van Deren Crossing of the Verde River – which became Thompson Crossing which became Bridgeport after the bridge was constructed.
