Mary Jane Bristow is the daughter of Edward Squire Bristow and Sarah "Sally" Ann Bristow.
Mary Jane’s grandmother, Sarah Ashinhurst (Campbell) (1763 -1860), came from Ireland.  
Mary Jane and Maurice Calvin Smith had four boys, and four girls. Bill Ed, Wyatt, Ben, and Maurice. Mittie, Julia, Sarah, and Hulda Susan.  They joined a covered wagon train leaving Cedar County, Missouri, in April 1887, destination was the Verde Valley in Arizona, arriving in Flagstaff on the 4th of July.
